The Alliance of Independent Dentists was the first organization to support the Question 2 Ballot Initiative which passed in Massachusetts in 2022! This law mandates that dental insurers pay at least 83% toward patient care.

An Act Relative to Dental Insurance Assignment of Benefits will mandate that insurers honor assignment of benefits requests by patients. This means that insurers will have to pay an out-of-network dental office directly thereby lowering the amount patients have to pay at the time of service. 

An Act Relative to Dental Insurance Consumer Protections includes many items that promote fairness and price transparency when obtaining estimates from insurers.

An Act Relative to Hygiene Licensure gives legal immigrants who are foreign-trained dentists an accelerated pathway toward a hygiene license to provide basic preventive care to patients and alleviate the labor shortage.
